What Waits When You Don't Use Water Treatment Equipment

By Cynthia McDonald

Wellness is life. The quality of food and drink you take is necessary for determining how healthy you will be. Even without taking any other type of liquid, drinking water alone can make you healthy. As a matter of fact, it is good for your skin and other vital organs of the body. But there are dangers associated with not taking it clean. This calls for the need to use water treatment equipment.

If what you drink is not well screened, you may be in danger of getting typhoid fever. This happens when there is Salmonella Typhi in it. Salmonella Typhi is the bacteria responsible for the spread of typhoid fever. If you, unfortunately, contract this, you will have diarrhea, rashes on the skin and general body weakness.

Bacteria are also responsible for Legionnaire's disease. Like the name sounds, the bacteria that cause this one is known as Legionella bacteria. It is not life compatible because it affects the respiratory system leaving the person in want of oxygen for survival. To prevent this, buying a treatment system that can do more than filtration would be required.

Even without drinking, infections in water can also affect a person who comes in contact with it especially if there is an open wound. This is why swimmers should be careful whenever they visit the pools. There is a possibility of contracting Leptospirosis if rodent or some domestic animals have discharged their excreta into the pool. Signs to show that this must have happened include bleeding lungs and Well's Disease.

Otitis Externa is another one that is common among swimmers. It is a disease of the outer ear so it is also called the Swimmer's Ear. It can manifest when the contaminated liquid remains on the ear for quite some time. Hence, to prevent it, the swimmer has to dry the ears immediately after leaving the pool. Treating the pool will also help to prevent its occurrence.

A less devastating disease is botulism. It is less devastating because it can be prevented by simple filtration but it also affects breathing. Treatment is usually by the use of antibiotics or antitoxins. But it is better to prevent than to cure so buying a filter or treatment equipment would be fine.

Viral diseases can also be gotten from bad water and a good example of this is Hepatitis A. It is known to be contracted from an infected individual but it is also possible to get it from contaminated food and water. Hepatitis A affects the liver and causes it to swell. Outward signs, however, include jaundice, fever, diarrhea, decreased appetite, and stomach discomfort.

At least one of these is inevitable when there is a lack of proper treatment of water. However, these are equally easy to avoid by use of the treatment equipment. The cost of getting one should not discourage you from buying as it is better to invest in this now that you are still healthy. Some people who are experiencing some of these problems are unhappy with themselves for ignoring this same advice when they first heard it.
