Of course, parents also have a role to play during this time. It is important to encourage kids during the year. This is especially important in the initial stages when children are unsure of their surroundings. Kids thrive on routine, and when this becomes interrupted they will need to make adjustments. Kids may become upset in the beginning, but mom and dad will need to give them support and encourage them.

When they bring artwork home, it is important that they give them a lot of praise. They need to continue to spend time with the child after daycare or on the weekend. This can come in the form of creative activities or imaginary play., Children need to feel that they have not been rejected and that their parent still has an active role in their lives.
