When it comes to paraffin removal, you have to have substances that can effectively dissolve it, and they are known as non-polar solvents. Xylene and toluene are such non-polar solvents.

Although some other non-polar solvents also can be useful, for example petrol and gasoline, it is not advisable to use them, because of their smell, as well as for the possibility of making damages to your textiles or furniture. The whole process of removing paraffin will depend on the area that is affected. For smaller pieces of textiles, the easiest method is to put them in the freezer first. It will be much easier to crack and scrap most of the wax. For this purpose, use some plastic spatula, butter knife or something similar. You may also use your credit card, if you don't have anything else.

Once the majority is removed, use paper towels and warm iron for melting and removing the rest of it. It might be necessary to repeat this several times, depending on the material. Once this is done, you may simply wash your clothes in warm water and detergent. Really sensitive fabrics might require dry cleaning instead.

Carpet won't fit in your freezer, and freezing is really the best method. So, use the ice pack instead. If you don't have any, simply fill a bag with ice, or take a pack of frozen vegetables instead. Scrap as much as it is possible. Use a brush and a hair dryer to remove the particles that might remain there. Colored waxes might leave colored stains, remove them with carpet cleaning products.

If you want to clean your furniture or even marble surfaces, one simple method might be highly useful. First, you have to scrub away as much as you can. Use plastic knife or something similar that won't cause damages. Apply generous quantity of warm vegetable oil on it, let it rest for a while, and then use an old toothbrush to mix it all together and brush everything away. Wash in warm soap water.

When you have to remove paraffin stains from your glasses, lenses or other similar surfaces, the first step is the same, you have to scrape off the big chunks. Use hard plastic spatula or something that will not make damage to the surface. If it is possible, freeze the area using ice packs. After that, use your hair dryer to melt the residues, and then you will easily remove the rest of it.

Well, hair waxing can also leave wax residues on your skin. Some say that they should be removed using warm water only, but it can be really unpleasant thing to do. Using warm olive oil instead is much more effective, and it want irritate your skin. Leave the oil there for a while, and simply wipe off. Now you can easily wash the area with water and soap.
